Vackor trail

2015, the Hajdúhadház Forest Ownership Association created the 2.7 kilometer long Vackor trail in the Kutasi forest part of the Debrecen-Hajdúböszörmény oaks Natura 2000 forest area on the outskirts of Hajdúhadház.  The emblematic structure of the nature trail, popular among nature lovers and recreational sports enthusiasts, is the impressive 20-meter-high lookout tower that rises above the acacia trees. 16 nature trail boards try to present the flora and fauna of the educational trail, which mostly winds through acacia trees, but also touches patches of aspen and pine, and then ends among oak trees that were once native to the landscape. A meaningful relaxation is supported by several rest areas and a loggia complete with a fireplace. Bird lovers can enjoy a bird protection presentation in the vicinity of the philagoria, as well as a bird-watching hideout installed at an artificial watering hole that can be visited by prior arrangement. The nature trail can be visited without restrictions at any time of the year on foot, by bicycle, or on horseback.

It can be reached by public transport with the scheduled intercity bus service between Hajdúhadház and Hajdúböszörmény (get off at the Kutasi erdészház stop, at the starting point of the educational trail). By car or bicycle, you can reach the starting point of the nature trail on the inferior road between Hajdúhadház and Hajdúböszörmény, which is 3.4 kilometers from the center of Hajdúhadház and 9 kilometers from Hajdúböszörmény.
The transformation of the nature trail was carried out by the Green Circle in 2022 together with the Hajdúhadháza Forestry Association, with the support of the Association of Alternative Communities. The use of the detective glass bird watch along the nature trail – which includes a bird bath – is possible with the prior consent of the Green Circle!
