The Bodrog River and its floodplains, as well as Tokaj-Hegyalja, are very rich in natural values. The flora and fauna of this diverse landscape can be studied by group visitors at the educational base established in the village of Bodrogolaszi, in Ferry landing – on the river bank. The center, equipped with educational technology and visual aids, can be visited with prior registration and conditions. In the training room, we have self-produced videos and slide presentations available to interested groups, while in its courtyard and on the riverside walkway-coastal , 6 stations support nature education.

We offer the option as an additional program to water or bicycle tours, or as a program of a few hours for student groups during class trips and camps. But the educational center can even be the starting point for a tour planned to a nearby destination (e.g. to Megyerhegy sea view or the Szarkakút rest area). Interested groups are welcomed by trained leaders, all of whom have local knowledge and are sufficiently prepared for the nature programs. Among the services of the training center, it is also possible to rent touring bikes and touring canoes!
The educational center was developed by the Local Government of Zöld Kör and Bodrogolaszi settlement in 2020/2021 with the support of the Active and Ecotourism Development Center, and the implementation of the related educational trail was supported financially by the “Green Source” fund of the Ministry of Agriculture. The facility’s nature education activities are managed by the Zöld Kör and the Bodrog Association.
