Since 2008, our association has been organizing canoe tours on the Bodrog river from spring to autumn, as well as on the Bodrog flood plain in the spring. The tours are organized either as a star tour, during which the base – i.e. the overnight stay – takes place at the accommodation of our water tour base in the village of Bodrogolaszi, or with wild camping. In this case, the overnight stay in your own tent and camping equipment will be arranged individually, after completing the day’s section at the place of arrival. In such cases, the association’s staff, as organizers, ensure a minimum level of comfort. For water tours, in addition to the 3- or 4-person canoes, we provide all other equipment -oars, life jackets, waterproof barrels – as well as the transportation of the equipment and the participants. The tours are organized a few times a year by announcing specific dates inadvance, or they start when groups apply.
The Bodrog itself is 65 fkm long, as it takes the name Bodrog from the confluence of two rivers – the Latorca and Ondava rivers – a few hours’ row from the Hungarian-Slovakian border in Slovakia. The distance is usually covered in 3-day tours, at a comfortable hiking pace, mainly in the period from May to September. Tours to the flood plain start at the end of April fromour water tour base in Bodrogolaszi, with two days of paddling and arrival in Tokaj.
